A bit about me:

I focus my work on achieving intricately detailed Lino pieces. Combining my fascination with water & the sea with my obsession for creativity . I find the process of creating my work therapeutic and balancing.

My pieces range in subject and emotion with images of sailor, mermaid, humorous ugly fish and celebrations of Cornish life. My love of swimming and the natural work is also included. The Lino process gives a graphic quality often compared to early sailor tattoos. I love the detailed mark making , slight imperfections and evidence of the artists hand in the cutting and print process which is why I continue to explore Lino.

As a young child I would draw and paint , swim and canoe . Water & Arts have always been my first loves. I attended university and gained an arts degree followed by having a successful arts teaching career. Moving to Cornwall and finding myself so close to the water has enthused my creative energies .

My sailor series ‘all the naughty girls ‘ & ‘mouth of a sailor’ started my move towards developing my style and build a body of work.
